So again for the trophy hunters out there, the Day/Night Cycle of Risa is all screwed up, the only way to figure it’s night is for the Brazers near the beach to light up, this would be the normal Night Cycle, but as far as I can confirm the Restful Resort is still possible as long as you’re willing to wait around a while and remember the above note. The amount of effort needed just to type is a royal pain in the ass at times, a quick ability to use auto type would be very welcome! This frustrates me to no end and will likely prevent me been very social in this game. There are a couple of things that annoy the hell out of me, one is I’ve been heavily spoilt by the auto type ability of Final Fantasy XIV. So it plays well, it’s great story as always, bits are missions like the Duty Officer System, which means easy dilithium making isn’t as easy as it should be, but that’s coming as I understand it. So that’s the first game breaker I’ve hit on here, but anyways in terms of how it plays, it’s still the game we know and love, the lighting updates are great, and some of the environmental stuff seem’s to have been cleaned up as well which is great to see. For you Platinum hunters this also means you won’t be able to Plat the game as the trophies are tied to 100% of each episode. Otherwise the game just crashes every time I try to log back in. Then skip the mission to continue on with the story. Seems the only way I’ve been able to unlock game play afterward is by rebooting and then logging in an alternative character before returning to my stuck game.

It looks good, and as I said it’s nice to play old content, though I have just hit a bug that seems to be preventing play, it generates a CE -38700-8 error, which apparently doesn’t exist according to the Sony Error Code sites, and general advice is update the app? Which we can’t do! ( The mission Diplomacy is totally broken). So far I’ve done the tutorial and the Klingon?Federation War, Wasteland storyline, as well as the first in the Romulan Campaign. It has been a long time since I played much of this content but it is as nostalgic as ever. I admit I though the control system was going to such, but despite the fact it takes some getting used to it work well and is quite fluid, the inverted axis sucks and I hope they see fit to address this, but other than it works well.

OK so I’ve been playing since release here in the UK (Around 8am 07/09/16) and I have to say I’m impressed that a PC port has translated so well to the PS4.
